Bulgaria, Kingdom. An Air Force Pilot’s Badge consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac A Great War C(Znachka na pilota). Instituted in 1921. (1930s issue). Constructed of gilded bronze, consisting of a large eagle with open wings topped by a Hungarian Royal Crown and a superimposed B, the reverse offers a horizontal pin, maker mark on base denoting a crowned AB, measuring approximately 61. 2 mm (w) x 27. 2 mm (l), weighing 9. 33 grams, notable gilt wear, pin clasp slightly closed, very fine.
