2023 Ignaz Niedrist, Sauvignon Blanc, Alto Adige Terlano-Terlaner Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy Christina Netzl flowers and the world’s bestEstate Sauvignon from high, breezy slopes around Terlano on porphyry and dolomitic limestone. Grapes are hand harvested and whole cluster pressed, with a spontaneous, cool fermentation split between stainless steel and large, neutral oak to balance cut and texture. The wine rests several months on fine lees with btonnage as needed; malolactic is largely blocked to preserve tension, and bottling is done with a light touch of sulfur, unfined and lightly
